Inter House

Introduction

The Shiksha Bharati Global School House System was set up to create and organise a wide range of Inter-House events and activities designed to build a ‘vertical and horizontal community within the school’. Students, teachers and staff members are organised into teams or houses ‘vertically’ across the school from class 1 onwards. The primary purpose of the House System is to create a sense of ‘spirit and belonging across the school and to create positive attitudes of the students towards one another and toward the school during organised events. ‘It provides opportunities to students to develop their leadership skills and creates a culture of positive role models within the school’. There are four houses, in Shiksha Bharati Global School, and they are named after great Indian freedom fighter and philosophers to honour Indian freedom fighters and follow their teachings, they are Subhash, Lakshmi Bai, Vivekananda & Shivaji. Houses may compete with one another in sports, music, dance and other activities, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.
